:0

:0 Cwap, haven't posted in over a month! Well...here's one!
Okay, so, what about a poem to make up for it all?
Haven't had a post for long,
And I think that that's something wrong.
I really truely regret not posting,
But things need to be done, pigs needing roasting.
Just kidding, I don't roast pigs, don't worry!
All I wanted to say was SORRY!

What d'you think? It's kinda short but I guess it'll do, just something to apologise to you. :)

Have you ever heard of Paddington books? O.o

Have you ever heard of Paddington books? O.o So, have you? Because it's a great series. It's definitely a classic; the first book was written around 60 years ago and the newest one is from 2008 so it's not that old. These books are full of humour and give you a break from all those depressing novels about death and war and stuff. Well, anyway, the series doesn't have a main problem but instead it is about Paddington Brown the bear's adventures. Paddington, a small bear from Darkest Peru who is very fond of marmalade travels on a lifeboat to America where he meets Mr and Mrs Brown. They take him in and considers him as real family instead of a pet. Being a quite intelligent talking bear, he helps out by buying groceries, taking care of the garden and other small things that usually results in trouble.
The housemaid, Mrs Bird, is stern but kind, kind of like Professor McGonagall. Jonathan and Judy are the children of Mr and Mrs Brown. Together, they will go on trips that end in Paddington causing trouble but then all ends well. I always laugh every time I pick up a Paddington book and start reading.
Paddington and Mr Gruber are good friends and always have hot cocoa and buns for their usual elevenses and Mr Gruber would always lend Paddington books to help him prepare for upcoming trips. Mr Curry, however, was mean and selfish. He was very greedy and usually tricked Paddington into doing things that usually aren't really worth it. For example, he would call Paddington over from over the fence and ask him to help him do something easy for sixpence, and when Paddington agrees he would say something like "and when you're done, mow the lawn and pick all the apples for me too." and then he would retire to his house and leave Paddington speechless.
So, if you haven't already, try looking for some Paddington books, so far I've got A Bear Called Paddington, More About Paddington, Paddington Helps Out, Paddington at Large, Paddington Marches on and Paddington Takes the Air. But I still need Paddington Abroad, Paddington at Work, Paddington Goes to Town, Paddington on Top, Paddington Takes the Test, Paddington: Here and Now and Paddington Races Ahead .
Well, just wanted to say, PADDINGTON IS AWESOME. It's just as good as the Harry Potter books, maybe even better:O
P.S. OMG! Paddington movie out 2014. YAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYAAYAYYAYAAYAYYAAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYY!!!!!

Hey guys!

Hey guys! So lately I've been reaing some Andy Griffiths books. I've read the Just! series when I was in grade four or something and I also read the Bad book. Well, anyway, I've been reading the schooling around ones about the Northwest Southeast Central school. I've been reading the series backwards; robot Riot!, Mascot Madness! and Pencil of Doom!. I haven't read the first one yet but I will as soon as I find it at the library. So are the books good? Yeahhh, but the second book, Pencil of Doom, there wasa part where the teacher told them a super, ultra, freaky, scary, horrifying story. I was kind of paralysed after I read it. I was too scared to move. :(

A Series of Unfortunate Events

A Series of Unfortunate Events; 13 books, each containing 13 chapters. 1 villain, 3 children. I have just finished the last book in the Series of Unfortunate Events a while ago. The last book, THE END, surprisingly had a fourteenth chapter. But still, after all thirteen volumes; The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, The Wide Window, The Miserable Mill, The Austere Academy, The Ersatz Elevator, The Vile Village, The Carnivorous Carnival, The Hostile Hospital, The Slippery Slope, The Penultimate Peril and The End, many of the questions I had were left unanswered; did the Baudelaires survive their trip on the small boat? Did Violet ever find Quiggley? Did Klaus ever find Fiona? Did Sunny ever find someone she loved? Is there a happy ending after all? Where did Captain Widdershins go? What was the big question mark? How did V.F.D. start? Why did the schism happen? So many questions, yet so little answers. The series, I think, are incomplete, there should be more volumes, more about what happened after Count Olaf's death. But all that was said after so long was that the three children and Kit Snicket's daughter got ready to go on a boat. The last word in the thirteenth book was, Beatrice, answering so many questions but creating even more. Beatrice, Lemony Snicket's lover, was actually the Baudelairs' mother all along. So Beatrice must have married the Baudelaires' father instead of Lemony. And soon after the Baudelaire parents perished in a fire the children are left with Count Olaf, who tries to steal their fortune. For what? Money. Count Olaf died chasing the Baudelaires and their inheritance. Why would someone let themselves be in risk of dying for money? Money can buy you things that make you happy, that's true. But after all those sins you have done while trying to get money, what have you become? A monster. Someone who has no interest in anything but crime and injustice. Just for money. There are so many things that are more important than money; family, love, friends, happiness. Money cannot give you happiness. It can buy something to make you happy but it can not alone bring you joy. Why wouldn't money be banned? Go back to the old trading again. I give you this, you give me that. And why can't electricity be gone? No need to pay bills, no need to worry about who has an iPad or iPod. Just live like our grandparents or ancestors did. Not a perfect life, but a happy one, where everyone has their own talents to make something and they can trade their produce for something that they are not so skilled at making. Where no one is busy fighting for money. I really like the idea of living in the past. Way before electricity and technology was created. Back to using old school typewriters and pressing buttons. Reading books for entertainment with the only means of communicating to those far away being letters. Hand written, delivered to your door. No instant messaging but instead the excitement of your pen pal writing back to you and you, thinking hard, not knowing what to write back. I really wish that I could go back to that time because although I enjoy T.V. very, very much, I could definitely live with only books and no movies. That would be my absolute ideal life. *sigh* wish I could go back in time. Wait, woops! Got off topic. Well, A Series of Unfortunate Events is very tragic and stuff, so... try to avoid reading it even after you've read the blurb that uses very effective reverse psychology! :)

I remember...

I remember when I was like in grade 2 or something I read a book called Morris has a Cold. At that time it was just a book that I read to pass the time but now, I think I really like it. It was so long long ago but I still remember most of the book. Morris was a deer. He had a friend that was a bear and when Morris was sick the bear (I forgot his name) had to take care of him. I remember that the bear (let's just call him... bob for now.) made some soup and told Morris to drink it. Morris didn't know how to so "Bob" told him to put the spoon into his mouth. Morris put the whole spoon in his mouth and "Bob" said 'No, you put the round part into your mouth.'. I also remember that "Bob" wanted to touch Morris' forehead to see how sick he was but Morris said 'I don't have four heads!' So Bob had to call his forehead a onehead. I also remember something about Bob giving Morris some tea but Morris thought he meant 'T' so he refused to drink it
Well, anyway, if you have a childhood book that you love or just want to talk about, just post it and I'll make it part of a new poll to see which book is best.

Harry Potter and Wimpy Kid; who's better?

Well, you see, I saw this thing about some vote about books. There was the Potter series and the Wimpy kid Series. and guess what? Wimpy Kid won. What? I know. Well it's obviously because the vote was for up to11 year olds only. That's why. Of course that's why. It's because nowadays little kids are too lazy to read long books and too stupid to know "big" words. And the Wimpy Kid series are just a series about this scrawny kid who uses his friends and lies to his parents. He's a bad role model. Could you imagine what children learn from this kid? Probably nothing too good. And I bet if the vote was open for up to around 14 year olds, Harry Potter will bring Wimpy Kid to it's knees. So no matter what, Harry Potter is much, much, MUCH more awesomerer. So vote Potter over Wimpy Kid in the poll this week. :)

my firrrst post:

So, what is this blog about? BOOKS. Thinking about books.Well, mostly about the Harry Potter books. Let's see...
